THE PROCEDURE
This procedure is usually performed as a day case under general anaesthetic. It normally takes about 15 minutes.
The adenoids are removed by a special instrument called suction diathermy through the mouth. The diathermy probe shrinks the adenoids. There is a small risk of bleeding afterwards.
AFTERCARE
Most patients are able to go back to school or work within a few days of the operation
