Paul Kirkland operates at Sussex Premier Health and KIMS Hospital. Once you have been seen in clinic and consented for surgery, our team will liaise with hospital to help coordinate your operation.
If you are funding your own treatment, we will request an inclusive surgery fixed-price package from the hospital on your behalf. This fee covers the hospital, surgeon, and anaesthetist costs.
If you have private medical insurance, you will need to contact your provider to obtain an authorisation code for your procedure. We will let you know the relevant procedure codes to use when speaking with your insurer. Once authorisation is confirmed, we can schedule and confirm your operation date.

Once your surgery date is confirmed, the hospital will provide you with all the necessary pre-operative information. You will be asked to attend a pre-admission assessment, either in person or by telephone. This is to assess your general health and decide whether any further tests are needed prior to surgery. The hospital will also advise you:
Our team is here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Most patients are able to leave hospital on the same day as surgery. The hospital will provide you with any medication that is required afterwards.
We will contact you to arrange a follow-up appointment with Mr Kirkland at the hospital.
If you have any medical questions or concerns in the early post-operative period, please contact the nursing staff on the ward where you were during your hospital stay.
We value our patient reviews and ratings as a way of constantly improving the service we provide to patients.
